Double Serving of MasterChef: The Show Will Air Twice a Week This Spring

This spring, STB and Starlight Production continue production of Ukraine’s popular culinary project MasterChef. Season 17 premieres on March 7 on STB and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 PM.

Amateur cooks will compete for the title of the best. The contestants will be judged by the show’s long-standing panel: Hector Jimenez-Bravo, Olha Martynovska, and Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi. The Top 20 participants will be announced during the first week of broadcasts.

This season, the project welcomes contestants returning from abroad — including Japan, Cyprus, Italy, and other countries — fulfilling long-held dreams of participating in the show. Ukrainian military defenders will also take part as special guests.

One large-scale outdoor challenge took place in Shevchenko Park, where participants cooked outdoors despite difficult weather conditions, helping raise a record amount of funds. Another challenge was dedicated to the show’s “haters,” with the ambitious goal of turning them into MasterChef fans.

Filming began in November and continues through February, following all safety protocols during air raid alerts.
